Pause is a design campaign de-stigmatizing and raising awareness for self-care and wellness practices in generation X. This project is an awareness campaign, intended to reach out to gen X in their daily lives. Through design, we aim to inspire generation X to take a closer look at self-care and wellness, as well as make more time for themselves.
The deliverables for this project consisted of an informational website meant to direct users to several different useful resources regarding self-care and wellness practices. Deliverables for this project also included a wide variety of billboard and poster designs, as well as designed mugs, face masks, sideline barriers, bus wraps, and postcards intended to reach out to generation X in their daily environs.
Pause is first and foremost a research-based project. My process began by researching generation X and self-care through the lenses of History, Social Identity, and Communication. Researching through these three lenses gave me a holistic view of my audience and subject matter, and I allowed this research to carry throughout my project and directly influence my final designs.
